What To Expect

After hotel pickups are finished we depart immediately to the Hoover Dam. Travel time between Las Vegas and the Dam is around 45 minutes each way. Your driver will provide an expert commentary along the way. All vehicles are climate controlled and equipped with, reclining seats, video monitors and over-sized windows.

Pick up was easy. Did the Las Vegas sign, the dam tour and lake mead overlook. Driver was really interactive providing lots of info and seemed genuinely interested.

While the Hoover Dam was absolutely gorgeous, the bus was 30 minutes late to pick us up, (told to be there by 8:40am, picked up at 9:07). Once on the bus and attendance had been taken, we sat there for a minute. The driver, although nice, was a bit unprofessional while sitting idle at the pick up location. Off to the Vegas sign was an unexpected stop, but cool i guess. Finally arrived at the bypass and Dam and the entire tour was amazing and exactly what was expected. We were told to be back to the bus at 1:30pm and 2 showed up late about 10min which was no real concern but the driver was very slow, slower than the speed limit it seemed. A tour that was supposed to be 4 hours ended up taking 7 hours out of the day. We returned to our drop off location at 3:40pm.
The experience was good, transportation was not! Recommend driving and paying at the dam for the tour and bypass walkover.

The trip to the Hoover dam was ok. The tour bus wasn’t very clean and we had seats by the restroom and there was an awful smell the whole trip. The driver was nice and knowledgeable and provided interesting information along the way. Before booking be sure to read the FAQs. Based on the description we thought this was a trip only to the Hoover dam and included a complete tour. You actually make about 4 or 5 stops (one at the Las Vegas sign which we thought was pointless) and the tour that is included is only for the power plant, which lasts about 30 min. This detail can be found in the FAQs. You are not provided bottled water, small detail but bring your own drink if you need to. There is a nice cafe at the Hoover dam. The food is good but expensive and can take a while so you may want to bring snacks. The overall experience was ok but not what we were expecting. I would not book this tour again.
